Netscape 3/Gold setup: Please upgrade to Netscape 4.7 and follow the instructions for it.

 

Netscape 4.7Setup:

 

  1. Open Netscape/
  2. Click on <Edit> then <Prefrences>
  3. A screen will pop up. In the white box on the left hand side click <Mail & Newsgroups>
  4. Click on <Mail Servers> (if you do not see <mail servers> click on the plus (+) symbol next to <mail and newgroups>
  5. In the <Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:> box type: mail.inland.net
  6. In the <Outgoing mail server User Name> box type: your username_inland_net (example: help_inland_net)
  7. check the check box for <Use secure connection (SSL)> to <Always>
  8. Click <Edit>
  9. For the <Server Name> box type: mail.inland.net
  10. For <username> put your username_inland_net just as before.
  11. Click OK.
