Section 1: Selecting PPP in MacTCPThis section is important to those who may have installed InterSlip or have configured/used another form of networking (Ethertalk etc) on their computer.
Section 2: Configuring MacTCPClick on the more button seen in the Section 1 picture above, and you should see the following options:
Section3: Config PPPThis section rarely needs changing, but I have included a picture to show the correct configuration. This section is also the launching point for the next two sections. To get here, select Apple Menu, then Control Panels, then Config PPP.
Section 4: ConfigTo reach this section, click on the button marked Config... as seen in the Section 3 picture above. The only thing to check here is the phone #. Subscribers with 28.8 modems should use See Local Access List . If you have call waiting, you will need to disable it for the duration of your Inland Internet connection. You can do this by adding a *70, to the front of the phone number. For example, a subscriber with a 56k modem and call waiting would have: *70,723-4130Section 5: Connect ScriptTo reach this section, click on the button marked Connect Script... as seen in the Section 4 picture above. The picture below shows the correct settings for the connect script. Everything should be blank as shown below.
