Windows 95/98 Inland Setup
Step 1: Getting to Inland Connection
- Double click on
button
- go to settings and select Control Panel
- Double click on Network
- Select "TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adapter" and click the Properties button.
- A screen will come up with a warning. Click OK
Step 2: Configuring TCP/IP
- Click on DNS Configuration tab
- Enable DNS
- Host: username_inland_net
- Domain: inland.net
- DNS Server search order: 199.120.150.50 and then click add
- DNS Server search order: 199.120.150.51 and then click add
Now click [ok] and [ok] again. You will probably be asked to restart your computer. Please do so.

- Double click on My Computer (in the upper left hand corner of your desktop)
- Double click on Dial-up Networking
- Right click on Inland Internet
- Scroll down and left click on Properties
- Click the Server Types tab
- Then click on the TCP/IP Settings button, which will bring up the TCP/IP Settings dialog box
- Specify Name Server Address
- Primary DNS 199.120.150.50
- Secondary DNS 199.120.150.51
- Click OK
- Click OK again
- Double Click on Inland Internet Connection
Check to make sure your username is correct. (username_inland_net)
Reminder customer's usernames have changed. (For example: bobj@inland.net who's username was bobj
will change to bobj_inland_net for a username.
Click the Connect button
Step 4: You're On!
See you on the Net!
Extras
- Call Waiting: If you have call-waiting you will want to disable it during your Inland Internet
connections. If you do not, then any incoming call will disconnect you from the Net unexpectedly.
To temporarily disable call-waiting during your connection, go to Step 3 and select [Dial Properties].
Now check "This location has call waiting" and choose option [*70]. Click [ok].
