This CD is a journey into the past of a band that under different circumstances would have risen to the top.
You can't change the history. You can however relive it,and this CD may be one of the best ways to do that.
Dan Wexler went to great lengths to make sure the sound of this recording would please the Icon fans that, to his surprise, still exist today (why should he be surprised?)
The show was one of the last that original singer Stephen Clifford would do with the band. It showcases his talent as a live performer as well as one that excelled in the studio.
Stephens vocal talents aside, this recording serves as an example that the band as a whole were a force to be dealt with.
You also get a glimpse of what the band was doing in an effort to go into the studio to make 'Night Of The Crime'.
Many of those songs are slightly different than the recorded versions. 'Dancing With Danger' is 'Danger Calling' for example.
You may find yourself wishing that 'Night Of The Crime' had 12 or 13 songs instead of just 10.
Epilogue Entertainment along with Dan Wexler want all Icon fans to understand this CD is not a multi-tracked recording.
That is, you can't go in and change what was already done. But, through their hard work This CD is an enjoyable listening experience
