ICON was featured in WMR #3. We were proud to introduce the band. Since the intro, the band has been touring the USA on the club and small hall scene. After seeing the bands show at the Reseda Country Club it is apparent that ICON will take metal to a new level. The performance was polished with enough raw edge to satisfy the crowd.

WMR got together with the band a couple of days before the show to do an update on the tour.

WMR: How has the tour been going so far?
DAN: Great, the best part so far was the Memphis State Fair where we played with Accept and Quiet Riot before a crowd of 10,000 head bangers. We've mainly been doing a lot of small halls and clubs and this was the best so far.
WMR: How long will you be on the tour?
TRACY: For the rest of the summer.
WMR: Will the band be doing any european shows?
DAN: Not at this time, we are going to conquer at America first. We love the American headbangers.
WMR: Your home town is Phoenix, have you played there since the LP release?
TRACY: Yeah, the response was so incredible. We have always had great fans in Phoenix, this make all of the waiting worthwhile.
WMR: How did you secure the deal with Capitol Records?
DAN: We originally sent Mike Varney of Shrapnel Records a demo tape. He liked it and we all got together. The LP was scheduled with Mike and he has really helped guide the band all the way.
WMR: Who came up with the idea for the video?
TRACY: Michael Bernard directed it. It was filmed in the same garage as the movie "Christine". The shoot was really a lot of work and a lot is going on. Everyone was so supportive during the filming.
WMR: What are the plans for the next album?
DAN: We hope to release the new album in January. Right now we want to spend a lot of time gigging America and letting the masses discover metal ICON style.
